Coached Gameplay Group Sessions

In this service, I work with a group of four players over a period of 6 to 12 months—or longer—in what I call a Slow and Low Coached Gameplay Group. The name reflects my coaching philosophy: “Play Slower and Lower.”

These 90-minute sessions are held weekly or twice a month. They draw on the full range of drills, drill games, gameplay scenarios, shot-placement exercises, skill and gameplay assessments, AI-powered video analysis, and other learning tools I’ve developed and refined over the years.

During a typical coached gameplay session, I lead the group through 30 to 40 minutes of skill-building drills. The remainder of the session focuses on gameplay, helping players learn how to:

  • Control the tempo of a game by slowing it down
  • Dominate play at the non-volley line
  • Make smarter shot selections
  • Reduce unforced errors
  • Play consistent, high-percentage pickleball
  • Recognize and counter an opposing team’s strategy
  • Develop greater mental resilience and toughness

Once your Slow and Low Coached Gameplay Group has been formed, schedule your first session with me. During this initial session, I’ll conduct a Skill Check with all four players. Based on the results, I’ll develop a group Coaching Plan and schedule designed to help you and your partners develop, grow, and improve as pickleball players.

Contact me if you have questions or need help in forming a Slow and Low Coached Gameplay Group.

Julie, Debbie, Merilyn, and Kristen worked with me for two years in a Slow and Low Coached Gameplay Group. Each one of them improved their skills and obtained a 3.5 skill rating.
