I’m a Certified Pickleball Coach and Teaching Professional with 5,000+ hours of on court coaching experience. I operate Coach Mark Pickleball LLC and work with members of the Sun City Hilton Head Pickleball Club in Bluffton, South Carolina.
I first established Coach Mark Pickleball in 2019 after moving west to Blaine, Washington from Greensboro North Carolina. For five years, I worked with clients at a number of pickleball clubs and recreation centers in Washington, California, and Arizona (including Sun City Lincoln Hills in California and Sun City Grand in Arizona).
In 2024, the arrival of my grandson (and assistant coach) brought me back to the east coast. When I visited Sun City Hilton Head for the first time in 2026, I knew I had found the ideal location to live, be close to family, enjoy high-quality pickleball, and restart my coaching practice. As you know from your own experience, Sun City Hilton Head is a very unique and special place!
I’m a 4.5 skill-level rated player and hold these professional certifications:
- Certified Level 2 Teaching Professional, Rating Specialist, and Director (International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association)
- Certified Level 1 Teaching Pro (Professional Pickleball Registry)
- Certified Level 2 Coach (Pickleball Coaching International)
